The Krapp of my life: towards a poor imitation (of Samuel Beckett)
2005. Physical theatre and media performance. 45min
The Krapp of my life is an adaptation of Krapp’s Last Tape. Contrary to Beckett’s character,
our Krapp is a young man who never leaves his apartment.
He fills his time drinking excessively, looking for love online and rummaging through personal
video recordings and photographs
– he had so much to do, he did so little…
We explore the loneliness, memory and confusion that lie ahead.
Concept Yorgos Bakalos and Michael Neale. Performed at Camden’s People Theatre, London as part of the Sprint Festival.
